Hanging out in KL Malaysia
(Pics to come)
We arrived in KL on Christmas eve. For the record, yes, it appears that Santa does visit hotel rooms! Present opening in the morning was followed by breakfast in the lobby (we have enjoyed the occasional hotel stint with breakfast included). Later that day we had a lovely traditional Christmas lunch with all the trimmings and then called our families via Skype to wish them a happy Christmas.
Staying next to The Curve which is a huge shopping mall (even open Christmas day and brimming with shoppers) we did not want for much. Back to our mother tongue, we enjoyed Borders bookshop next door and various eateries and coffee shops. Almost like home!
Shopping (books and shoes!), eating, swimming in the pool, going to the movies next door (cheap! about $10 AUD for all three of us!) and ten pin bowling $5. We went a bit crazy in the bookshops as there were many titles not readily available in Australia. Some were cheap, some were about the same price as in Oz.
A good last stop on our voyage for R&R and shopping and to acclimatise to warmer weather before coming home to sunny Perth, Western Australia.

You guys are a true inspiration to a lot of people. Keep up the good work…and it’s very good news to hear that Santa Claus does actually visit hotel rooms.
Happy new year to you all…and Sasha, the squirrel said to say “hi”.
